United Against Poverty Impact Study – Food Insecurity Research
As a Graduate Research Assistant with the Institute for Social and Behavioral Sciences, this role involved supporting a Florida Blue–funded study tracking the long-term impact of United Against Poverty’s programs across Florida. The project aims to understand how food insecurity shifts over time by interviewing participating families annually for four years at three key sites across the state.
Responsibilities included calling potential participants, showing up in person at food distribution sites, and collecting survey responses using Qualtrics. It was on-the-ground, people-focused work—connecting directly with the families behind the data and helping ensure their voices are at the center of future policy and program decisions.
